Day 2

Day 2 started off when we all awoke to a beautiful sunny day after a well earned night's sleep.

After a yummy breakfast provided by our amazing support crew, the riders headed off for a 96 km ride into Warwick. The riders were in great spirits even as they experienced strong head winds again for 52 kms before coming into Clifton. Here they filled up on snacks and water before starting on the next 44 kms into Warwick. Again the head wind was causing havoc with the riders but after 6 hours of riding they arrived at Warwick full of good spirits and glad to have completed another day.

They all settled into their rooms and spent the afternoon sleeping, sitting around chatting and visiting the local shops. At 5.30 p.m. we all met for Fun Therapy. Tonight was challenge night and time for each team to try and make up points they had lost for misdemeanors and fines given out by Brian (The Fine Master). Each team had to chose a team member to complete each challenge consisting of Bobbing for Apples; Coits Throwing; Yo Yo Demonstration; Puncture finding; Origami Frog Making and Giggle Counting. Great fun was had by all and as of tonight, the Pink Team are the winning team and they will display the No. 1 on their bikes all day tomorrow - well done girls!!

We had a lovely meal at the Horse & Jockey and everyone went to bed fairly early ready for another massive day tomorrow with 118 kms to be riden.

So proud of all the riders. Special mention also needs to be made of the amazing support crew who are working so hard preparing meals, keeping our riders safe; doing the washing, picking up supplies, etc. We couldn't do this ride without you. Dazza and Brad are doing an amazing job keeping everyone's washing up to date !!

Thank you also to our wonderful Massage Team (MJ and Eden) who are working tirelessly to keep all the rider's muscles sorted and get them ready to jump back on their bikes each day.

Several people have stopped us today and given us donations towards our fundraising tally which is just awesome.

Les got the Joker Jersey today for falling off his bike. King of the Mountains Jersey went to the lovely Ali for her incredible effort today after an incredibly hard day yesterday and for her fantastic attitude to "getting on with the job" and Most Supportive Jersey went to Mick Lewis for his incredible support of Kristy today - he never left her side all day.

Another busy day to be prepared for tomorrow, all the riders were in bed reasonably early.

So incredibly proud of all they are doing for Camp Quality - what an amazing bunch of people.
