Michael Phillips

I am a Financial Planner from the Central Coast. I have been a volunteer with Camp Quality for 5 years now and just love the fun culture, seeing all the children having such a great time and the social network of great people.
1000 kms 4 Kids will be my third CQ Challenge and I can’t wait. The 2011 version was so much fun and so successful I would be crazy not to be back for more. Bring on the training and raising more money for the kids!!

Chris Gallegos

My name is Chris Gallegos and I was approached by Michael Phillips to be a fill-in rider for the 2011 Ride for Kids from Armidale to Maitland some six weeks out from the start of the ride. I, at that stage had no contact with Camp Quality and after completing the event and being a part of such a wonderful dedicated group of people how could I not do the 2012 Challenge.

In some small way this opportunity allows me to give something back.

Denis Robertson

I first became involved in Camp Quality last year, when Mike (Fairy King) asked at the gym if anyone was interested in doing a 400km ride to raise money for CQ. I knew of CQ and the great work they did and I had the time, so I thought why not. On the ride I was blown away by the enthusiasm, dedication and enjoyment of everyone associated with CQ, so much so that I am now going to be a volunteer and help with the children's camps.

I am looking forward to doing the 1000 km 4 kids ride next year and know we will have as much fun as last year, not to forget the main aim to raise as much money as possible to help the families of children with cancer. Yes, Laughter is the Best Medicine.

Clint Lewis

Im a Production Manager for Baltimore Aircoil and we are located on the the Central Coast, I have a wife, Sally, and a 4 year old daughter Kyah.
My interests away from time with the family are very sporting based and include Cricket, Golf, AFL, NRL, Fishing, Cycling and pretty much any other sport!!
The main reason for me doing the ride this year, apart from the obvious challenge of completing the 1000 km's, is the fact that over the years I have never really been involved in any Charity work, between my wife and I we thought it was time to change this and give what we can to a great organisation.

Anthony Easson

I am very happily married to my wife Marnie and we have two children, Campbell (11) and Mackenzie (9).
I’ve had a VERY eclectic career spanning many genres, mainly, due to my multitude of interests and work related occurrences along the way. We moved to Berkeley Vale 10 years ago and I am now an Accountant with TE. The convenience made by this move has allowed me to importantly, spend more time with the family, coach soccer, being a surf life saver at Toowoon Bay, be on the Committee of Killarney District Soccer Club and also play soccer myself. I love keeping active with fun runs, triathlons, adventure races, swimming, soccer, touch footy and the gym and still like to practice my music if and when I can fit it in.
This ride is so important mirroring a condensed form of the journey that these kids go through in Camp Quality but nowhere near the pain or fear they experience or the resilience, resolve, courage and toughness, mentally and physically, required.  Everyone in the world was a child, most people will bear or rear a child and most people know a child. Life is so precious and if there is any way of helping these innocent children have a longer life, a better quality of life and a much happier life then I’m all for it. This may help put more smiles and laughter on young faces.  We have all been touched in some way whether young or old, by illnesses such as those suffered and experienced by the kids at Camp Quality.
