Nathan Cameron

Hailing from Maitland, I'm 22 years old and work in Newcastle at Lawler Partners Chartered Accountants. On the weekend I enjoy playing golf, fishing, triathlon, going to the beach and spending time out on the water. After experiencing the Ride in 2011, I cannot wait for the 2012 Ride. The mateship of such an event and the personal challenge of conquering 1,000 km on a bike definitely excite me.

My driving force for doing the 1000 km 4 Kids is the kids of Camp Quality. I have seen firsthand through my involvement with Camp Quality the great work that this organisation does. The joy and excitement the kids get from Camp Quality is something that needs to be seen to be believed. This is my way of raising some awareness and funds for such a worthwhile cause and to help bring some enjoyment to the kids and their families affected by cancer.

Leigh Richardson

Hi! I’m Leigh Richardson, 30 years old and a keen cyclist. I am originally from East Maitland but now live at The Junction. I attended the University of Newcastle where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Architecture)(Merit) and a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons1). Whilst at University I was lucky enough to secure a position with Suters Architects in Newcastle and have worked with them as a registered Architect ever since. Architecture is my passion. While I am not engrossed in Architecture,

I enjoy swimming at the beach, walking, reading, socialising over a beer or two, restoring and renovating, sailing, kayaking, and real estate. One of my most recent hobbies / boarder-line obsessions is the re-kindling of my childhood past time – Lego. Suddenly the vast possibilities of architecture not previously possible in the real world can come into fruition!

The driving force behind me wanting to participate in this ride (apart from the obvious awesome opportunity) is the chance to help a wonderful organisation like Camp Quality to raise much needed funds, as well as awareness, to undertake their great work. Camp Quality play a critical role in our society through the support of kids living with cancer and I am proud to be part of this event.

Troy Cameron

My name is Troy Cameron and I am 20 years old I am a 4th year apprentice carpenter and in my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, cricket and golf. Luke Ekert

My name is Luke Ekert. I am a 22 year old carpenter from Raymond Terrace. In my spare time I love going to the beach, playing cricket, golf and fishing.

The reason I am doing the 1000 Km 4 Kids ride in 2012 is because of the great stories my mates have told me about last year’s ride and because I want to help a great organisation and put a smile on some kids faces

Justin McGregor

My name is Justin McGregor. I have lived in Maitland for all 22 years of my life and work as a Human Resources Administrator for Farragher Transport Management. I’m an active social person who enjoys in-line skating, fishing, holidays and spending time with my mates.

Cycling is something that I have never really given a go so I am looking forward to the experience of 1000KMS 4 KIDS especially after talking to people who have taken part in similar rides. This ride will allow me to do a small part in assisting children and their families who are affected by cancer.

I would like to think that the funds and awareness raised through this ride would assist Camp Quality in achieving their mission to provide support to the children and their families and even more importantly, lots of smiles and laughter.
